This calendar has a few nice pictures. However, I didn't expect the photographer to write sentences on each calendar page about his specific experience at the location. The price was good, but the graphics are not great on many images.

Great calendar especially if you like adventure. The small captions under each month makes it even more special.

Love this calendar. Beautiful photography and ample space for writing in appointments, birthdays, events etc. I had gotten the 2018 Call of the Wild calendar last year and I was so excited to get the new version this year. It’s great!

The calendar use quality paper and the pictures are beautiful, oddly even with a smart phone and watches that have the day and date, I still like the old fashioned calendar. Good character development and progression - unlike many LitRPG, main character is not unbelievably lucky, over-talented or just generally overpowered due to some special circumstance or drop. Manages to keep that story occurs in game environment in place, without excessivereliance on stats and tables.

I bought the first book of this series and it sat on my kindle for months before I got around to it. Boy did I do myself a disservice. This second book is also excellent. The characters are those you can care about and cannot wait to find out what is going to happen next. Nothing about the main character is way overdramatic the way these types of books seem to generally drift too. It is just good gaming and storytelling combined that leads you on to yearning for what is next!

If you've read the first, then this is the long awaited sequel and yes it's an good or better then the first. If you haven't read the first book, go by it and read it right now, I had a difficult time really connecting with the MC (seiki) because of how realistically he's written, and he is deep deep into depression and the events in the first book nearly finish him off mentally. This book picks up where the first leaves off, and Seiki's continues to grow and mature, going from a pitiful cripple who just wants it all to end, to being a hurting young man who just wants to belong again, to realizing he's not alone and the world isn't all just pain but there's friendship and good times if you just try to find them. Sounds sappy and not much like a litrpg or action/adventure, but with the questing, fights, instances, wargames, intrigue, and betrayals there's something for everyone.Bushido Online is one of the best written litrpg books I've ever read. Go buy it.

Keeps up the plot from the first book while still branching out and keeping things interesting with plot elements and the like. Hard to keep track with all the names of everyone just because I'm terrible with name in general, but halfway through I realized some people in the book had minor/major appearances in the previous book. I really like this series and I know it's hard to keep the flow going but I'm really looking forward for the next book in the series.

Addictively fun, and there is quite a bit of tricky intrigue going on here. The story also works in the main character's RL better than the first one. Highly recommended, the LitRPG parts aren't too distracting from the well written story compared to many books that read like rulebooks.

Wonderful, this book feels so alive, I cant wait for more.

No credibility! Horrid horrid grammar. For instance, “although many will say that gluten can be consumed, I highly agree. It is of great importance to avoid gluten...” (pg 29). Are you freaking kidding me? Edit for content at least!!! It became a comical read- a Where’s Waldo of the many errors!

Simple and straightforward. General information is decent, if you are looking for general information this is not a bad starting point. Most of the book seems to be general information. The food list is presented very directly and that's one of the pieces I was looking for. But primarily I was looking for a book that would have a low-histamine eating plan for a person who has no need to lose weight. If you are purchasing this book as a weight loss aid then the meal plans would likely work for you. But I purchased it for someone who needs to maintain and maybe even gain some weight. No calorie counts are provided, but I suspect they are very low. There are a few contradictions as well that are not clear: i.e. peanuts are high histamine, but natural peanut butter is beneficial; gluten is high histamine, but pretzels are listed as a snack food in the meal plan. It could do with an edit and perhaps a calorie check.

What I'd really like to do is ask the author a couple questions...This is new information to me, and I'm hoping it will help me with what has been about 30 years of various inflammation responses, the root cause having eluded diagnosis. I've had rosacea, endometriosis, chalazions in my eyelids, bladder infections, and various food/drink reactions: migraines, flushing, hives, welts, swollen ankles, etc. I've eaten healthy my whole life, but couldn't get completely healthy! Doctors like to prescribe medicine, but not find out what the reason is for the symptoms. I've spent my life trying to problem-solve, and just in the last 2 weeks discovered that 1-3% of the population is "histamine intolerant". Rare, but not so rare that a doctor shouldn't know about it, you'd think.I'm giving 4 stars because there are some contradictions in the book (peanuts = bad; peanut butter = good, which are also the photos on the front and back cover of the book, but with no explanation... Confusing!) and the unanswered questions I'm left with because there isn't enough explanation of some key points. For instance: which medicines cause which response?The book is short (77 pages), which is good and bad. I read it quickly, but then I'm left with questions. The editing is somewhat atrocious in parts, too. Like someone forgot to do a grammar/spell check, it's that bad. No explanation in the book who Anna Keating is, either. I had to go to "her" page on Amazon to see that she isn't a professional doctor, dietician, or PhD, but had her own medical problems that she solved with diet... How did she find out what to do? See? Way too basic, learned more about histamine intolerance doing internet research while waiting for it to arrive. I am not college educated and it also had a poor editor.

So this book sums up what histamine is and what foods are high histamine or trigger histamine. That is good.The problem is I need to know where these details are coming from. For instance, the book does not describe the author at all. What are her credentials? How did she get this information? There is no reference page either. So it makes me uneasy to trust that this is sound medical or nutritional advice.The editing could be better as well. Some of the sentences don't read correctly.The book is small, but a big part of the book is the daily meal plans. Since there is a lot of food on there that cause allergies for our family, I would have preferred more general information like at the beginning of the book, followed by some meal ideas.So, I liked the straight to the point information on how histamine affects the body and how to lower it. I would have liked to see some evidence to support this. I will keep the book on hand and compare with internet research to confirm the information is accurate.

Those with histamine intolerance can not have fish unless it is caught, killed and cooked with a few short hours. This meal plan had fish several times on the menu. The author states to use fresh caught fish. Not something very many people can get to and not exceed the time limits. Trust me I have tried.

This is the perfect read for anyone who is trying to make heads or tails about histamine intolerance. It explains in an easy way to understand the science behind histamine intolerance, plus foods that are high in histamine and should be eliminated as well as foods that are low in histamine. Niccolò di Bernardo dei Machiavelli (3 May 1469 21 June 1527) was an Italian historian, politician, diplomat, philosopher, humanist and writer based in Florence during the Renaissance. He was for many years an official in the Florentine Republic, with responsibilities in diplomatic and military affairs. He was a founder of modern political science, and more specifically political ethics. He also wrote comedies, carnival songs, and poetry. His personal correspondence is renowned in the Italian language. He was Secretary to the Second Chancery of the Republic of Florence from 1498 to 1512, when the Medici were out of power. He wrote his masterpiece, The Prince, after the Medici had recovered power and he no longer held a position of responsibility in Florence.

If I wanted to conquer a country and become its prince, the first thing I’d need to know is how to get my own personal military. I didn’t find that information in this book. It seems to have been written for men who already have their own personal militaries. Yet most of the advice is about conquest. If they have their own personal militaries, why wouldn’t they already be experts in conquest?Someone who is already a prince would need to know about what to do after the conquest. He needs to know how to deal with his subjects and how to deal with other rulers without going to war. There should have been an entire chapter on diplomacy and international trade. The alternative to these things is destroying your own principality with perpetual war. Along these lines, after Machiavelli wrote THE PRINCE and before he published it, he wrote a small work entitled “The Life of Castruccio Castracani of Lucca” that illustrated the importance of caution and diplomacy instead of endless conquests. The key was that princes should keep the limitations of their successors in mind when planning military campaigns. After all, princes die young sometimes.Nothing clear is presented about how a prince should deal with his subjects. A prince might need to kill them, but should leave their property and women alone. He should disarm them so they can’t overthrow him. But what if the principality is being invaded and he needs armed subjects to help him fight the invaders? Liberality is the quickest way to be despised by the subjects, but they should be given festivals and spectacles. It’s confusing and I may have missed it, but he provides no historical examples of princes that prevented unrest and those who failed to do so.What’s also confusing is what everyone focuses on when they talk about this book. I'm referring to the morality of the prince. Must he have a moral duty, breaking conventional rules only when they interfere with this duty? Or is it permissible for him to be a beast who only cares about his own pleasure and glory? I’m not sure what this book really says about that.However, THE PRINCE is a valuable early work of political science. The method is pretty good. Ideas are developed from axioms of human nature, then backed up with historical examples. It’s worth reading.2.8 stars

I often heard of this book but never read it and after reading it I am sorry I didn't pick it up sooner. Some people think that the book is cruel and calculating, but I think it is very insightful of how governments take over countries and keep their citizens in line. Some times it means killing the old administration (literally) and other times it means employing citizens in new territories that you are trying to take over. The writing wasn't convoluted at all. It was very clear and well written. This is definitely a book you can read over and over again.

A great thesis worth multiple readings. This collection of essays and letters are one man's fascinating take on politics and war. The only thing which takes away from the overall work are the appendices which try to spoon-feed conclusions as opposed to providing context for the greater work.To be able to read and understand this book correctly, you must be prepared to spend some time understanding the politics and conflicts of the time. That being said, it's the only way to do it and be able to grasp more than surface conclusions. Being able to read and understand the work changed my understanding of not just politics, but also my interactions with different groups both socially and in my work life.

The idea of "reviewing" this is more than a little silly -- it's arguably the most influential non-religious work of all time -- but I thought a few comments & historical notes might still be worthwhile."The Prince" was essentially the first work of political realism in Western thought -- the first work of Western political philosophy that concerned itself not with the ideal government (as Plato had done in his _Republic_) but with the practical realities of getting and holding power. To describe the impact and influence of that willingness, that first notion that conventional morality might not be the best guide to success, would be as impossible a task as trying to summarize the influence of Galileo. Napoleon is rumored to have written extensive annotations to this book; Stalin allegedly kept a copy on his nightstand. Half of Shakespeare's villains (Iago, Richard III, etc.) derive their character in whole or part from this text.Most of this book is extraordinarily controversial, even today, yet still fundamentally difficult to argue against; there's a reason the Catholic Church kept it on the _Index Librorum Prohibitorum_ for centuries. The organization of this book is superb. It is very easy to cross reference disease patterns as well as locate info based on pinyin, english/latin, or characters. The authors did a fabulous job of explaining rationale for scripts.

The charts and figures in the ebook are unviewable. For instance, look at the first table in Chapter 34 through iPhone kindle edition. Can't read the print. When you zoom in, it becomes a blur. Almost all the tables in this book are like that. Also the Pinyin-English appendix reference does not hyper-link to any herb reference like most other kindle reference books. This one is just black and white text. It looks like someone just scanned this book in real fast and sold it as a kindle book. Low usability, low readability. The text formatting in the rest of the book is pretty poor. Every kindle book I've bought so far has better quality than this, even a $3.19 kindle book. I gave it 2 stars because the book looks like it has good material, if one can read it. :)
